Reed Warbler Mimicry

Absolutely no waders at Passage House at high tide, but around the marshes there were c10+ Reed Warbler and just two Sedge Warbler. I spent awhile listening to, and trying to photograph one of the Reed Warblers. Its repertoire was made up of Swallow, Blue Tit and House Sparrow calls, as well as the usual Reed Warbler song.

  1. You missed the two Dunlin at Passage House then. At the other end of the river two Sandwich Tern over Shaldon Bridge. The Hoopoe reported at Forches Cross this morning might just be in patch...

  2. I was at Passage at about 13:30. Were you there afterwards? I'm afraid the Hoopoe lies just outside the patch. Wonder if its settled there or just passing through.
